Here is a small passage from Elisabeth who is the granddaughter of the original owner of our house. She writes about the Young Theodore Roosevelt( the 26th president) visiting our house before he started his political career. He came over to practice his speech for the Jamaica Town hall meeting taking place the next day. She described Theodore Roosevelt as being boring because she fell asleep during his speech, lol. Apparently he had a good sense of humor because he would bring it up and tease her about it every time they saw each other, Lol.
